Colorado has excellent potential to develop wind energy resources and is proving that through its on the ground installations. The American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) reports that Colorado is ranked 8th in the U.S. for developed capacity and 11th in the U.S. for potential capacity. This 3D google mapping provides a view of installed wind energy generation facilities in Colorado and is accompanied by prerecorded installed wind tour videos. A 2D view of these facilities is also available. Data is current through July 2008.
